James grew up outside of Atlanta, Georgia and attended Georgia College & State University for undergraduate studies. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from Wake Forest University School of Medicine where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and a Masters of Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health. With a passion for oncology and technology he pursued a residency in Radiation Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. He has authored > 25 peer reviewed publications, abstracts, and book chapters across multiple areas including oncology and digital health. James is also the co-founder of Dwellsafe.ai and practices community based radiation oncology.

Austin Wesevich, MD, MPH

Austin grew up in San Antonio, TX and attended undergraduate, graduate, and medical school at Washington University in St. Louis. As an undergraduate student, he studied chemistry and music and was involved in academic and industry genetics research at University of Texas - San Antonio and Sigma-Aldrich. During medical school, he obtained a masters in public health and focused on global health and medical education. He conducted research in Uganda, Zambia, and Malawi. He then completed combined internal medicine/pediatrics (Med-Peds) residency at Duke University, where he focused on patient communication and high-value care. He is now a hematology/oncology fellow at the University of Chicago pursuing a career in adolescent/young adult (AYA) oncology and health services research. He is most interested in improving the patient experience by addressing clinician bias, improving patient-physician communication, and reducing cost of care. His most recent research involves improvement of inpatient communication using text messages and assessment of bias in resident verbal handoffs.

Dr. David Gasalberti earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in 2015, marking the beginning of a journey dedicated to the care of oncology patients. After completing his residency in Radiation Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2020, Dr. Gasalberti achieved board certification with the American Board of Radiology in 2022.Passionate about medical education, Dr. Gasalberti founded Cordus Consulting LLC, a consulting company that focuses on providing services for medical education. The company specializes in generating educational medical content and curating existing material for all levels of training. As the Chief Editor of Radiation Oncology Content at StatPearls, a prominent medical education company, Dr. Gasalberti plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape. His dedication to excellence is evident in his commitment to enhancing the understanding of radiation oncology among medical professionals.Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Gasalberti is deeply involved in addressing the challenges of pain management in cancer patients. He has shared his insights and knowledge through lectures on pain management in the oncology population, contributing to the broader understanding of this critical aspect of patient care. Furthermore, he has authored several book chapters on the topic for the New York Pain Society, showcasing his commitment to advancing pain management practices.Outside of medicine, Dr. Gasalberti enjoys caring for dressage horses and exploring the outdoors. His multifaceted interests reflect a holistic approach to life, blending a passion for medicine with a dedication to personal well-being and the pursuit of knowledge.

Gregor Manukian, MD, PhD

Gregor Manukian is a board certified radiation oncologist currently practicing as a partner of Berks Radiation Oncology Associates at Tower Health in West Reading, PA. His interest in oncology started in high school when he spent his summers working as a research technician in the Department of Solid Tumor Immunology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Binghamton University, he went on to develop DNA vaccines against melanoma and participated in early basic science research in the development of immunotherapy under the guidance of Drs James Allison, Alan Houghton, and Jedd Wolchok. He subsequently earned his Masters in Pharmacology before earning his combined MD/PhD at Tulane University School of Medicine where he studied the immune response during influenza infection and vaccination. He completed his residency training in radiation oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where he studied the immunological effects of caloric restriction on breast cancer. Although Dr Manukian treats all areas of disease, his main clinical interests are in prostate cancer, CNS malignancies, and the treatment of oligometastatic disease.

Kyle Taylor, MD

Dr. Kyle Taylor graduated from The Medical College of Georgia in 2016 and completed his residency training with Texas A&M Family Medicine in College Station, TX in 2019. He has experience in treating patients both in clinical as well as inpatient settings and is the lead physician at his current outpatient practice. He specializes in the treatment of chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia with an emphasis on preventive medicine. Dr. Taylor also has expertise in nutrition and exercise. His interests include woodworking, bowling, Computer Aided Design, and fusion deposition manufacturing.

Dr. Louis Cappelli began his educational path with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Business from Saint Joseph's University, laying a strong interdisciplinary foundation. He further advanced his medical knowledge by earning a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, complemented by an MBA from Thomas Jefferson University, blending medical expertise with business strategy. Currently, as a Radiation Oncologist in Philadelphia, Dr. Cappelli is distinguished by his commitment to clinical research, focusing on innovative treatments for glioblastomas and ocular melanoma. His dedication extends beyond patient care to include significant contributions to improving healthcare systems, such as enhancing inpatient consult processes and conducting cost-effectiveness studies on medical procedures.

Sameer Sood, DO

Sameer Sood aims to rethink healthcare across education, technology, delivery, and power. He teaches digital health and innovation at multiple medical schools and has worked with and advised numerous health tech, device, and community startups of all stages since 2011. In 2015, he was a fellow at Harvard Medical School’s Incite Health program, where he trained in design thinking and co-founded his first startup Sherbit Health, a remote-patient monitoring company designed to inform and engage patients and providers in understanding how lifestyle, behaviors, and socioeconomic status impact health, where he was Chief Innovation Officer until their acquisition to Huma in 2018. Since completing his Family Medicine residency at Duke University, Sameer has practiced with marginalized populations across the country in tribal and special needs clinics while working to transform systems with technology, payment innovation, and community organizations to address community wealth, power, and upstream social drivers of poor health. In 2022, he was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Elevance Health where he consulted on internal health innovation and community health, while helping to develop Elevance's social determinants strategy for their 47 million members. Currently he is CEO and Co-Founder of FwdSlash, aimed at evolving Medicaid to work with communities to eliminate social disparities, starting with homelessness. On the side, he is a health tech and AI consultant for early and mid-stage companies specializing in go-to-market, use case development, fine-tuning models, healthcare strategy, sales and more.

He then embarked on a career in Radiation Oncology, receiving specialized training at Thomas Jefferson University, where he distinguished himself as Chief Resident. With a focus on healthcare innovation, Spencer seamlessly integrates cutting-edge research into current treatment paradigms while fostering the essential elements of clinical excellence. His leadership roles in dynamic clinical environments have honed his ability to implement team-based problem-solving approaches, crafting impactful solutions that encompass diverse perspectives to drive positive change. Spencer's professional interests encompass oncology, medical innovation, the application of research to improve clinical outcomes, and initiatives aimed at enhancing patient understanding and accessibility.
